Most mornings, sessions on Wall Street start off on a soft note due to some bit of bad news or another, but then firm up midday to end flat, up a touch or up quite a bit. It's been quite a change from the behavior seen from December to March, in which the market would start the day up or flat, decline a touch in midday and then fall apart in the afternoon. The difference between these two types of behavior is that the first is typical of bullish markets, while the latter is typical of bearish phases. I believe this has led many of my subscribers to ask me at the Money Show this week in Las Vegas whether the bear market is, in fact, over.
